WE ARE HERE TO HELP

The residents of Fort McMurray are strong and resilient. Let us show our strength once again during this tough situation.
At Summit GM, We Are Here To Help!
Is your vehicle flooded? Are you not sure if it will run?

Here are the steps you should take:

  1. Call your insurance company. Start the process as quick as possible as they may be overwhelmed with claims. We work with all insurance companies in Canada to inspect and repair your vehicle.
  2. Contact us. We are here to help. You can bring your vehicle to us at any time. We will provide you with a FREE inspection and assessment of your vehicle. We have a full service and auto body shop that works with all makes and models of vehicles including GM, Chevy, Buick, Ford, Nissan, Hyundai and more.
  3. If you can start your vehicle bring it in and if you can't, have it towed to us. If your vehicle is or was partially or fully submerged, do not start it. There may be water in the engine that could damage your vehicle if it is started.
  4. Once it is determined what needs to be done, we can call your insurance company with you or for you and inform them of the details.

  • Here are a few important tips if you think your vehicle may have been damaged:
  • If your vehicle interior was submerged, dry it out. Open doors and windows. Use towels to soak up any remaining water. This will help to prevent mold from forming. You may also want to replace any mats, seat cushions and upholstery.
  • Visually check if there is any debris such as sticks or rocks stuck in your wheels, brakes, underneath the car and so forth. This can cause serious issues when the car is running.
  • If you are able, check your oil and air filter for any water. The dipstick should not have droplets on it and the air filter should not have any moisture in or on it. If they do, do not start your engine. Have your vehicle towed to us so we can perform a free inspection.
  • Go through your vehicle's electronics. Without starting it, turn the ignition to the "On" position and check all electronics to ensure they are working properly: Headlights, taillights, turn signals, interior lights, stereo, heating and air conditioning, power windows and locks.
  • If you are unsure of any issues with your vehicle, please do not hesitate to contact us at any time.

Please fill out the form below and and we will get back to you very quickly on your inquiry.
